January

Not much else to say about January around here. January means cold and snow and shoveling the snow in the cold.

February

Jacob's hockey team won the A side of a tournament that they played and fought hard to win. February 29th was also my last day of work sending us on a new path in life.

March

Both kids took part in their first Music Festival and received great remarks. Annica won a medal in her age category.More and more I'm realizing how wonderful it is to see the kids grow into their own people with their own accomplishments. In March I painted 2 bathrooms. Jacob celebrated his 8th birthday.

April

My daughters first away dance recital was in April . On the way we stopped for pedicures with some of her friends. My daughter was so excited and we had a great first of many "girls" trip.

May

I took the kids for pictures on our way up to the lake one weekend. My son has never been a great picture taker and i have always stressed out over it, but this year I decided to capture what this moment is really like and I actually gave out this pic to everyone. We took our trailor up to our rental spot at the lake and so began the most wonderful summer of my life so far.

June

My oldest daughter graduated from Kindergarten in June. Halleluah to full time school in September for 2 of my kids!!

June required 2 pics to tell the story. This year was crazy for storms, mainly in the form of tornados. They were frequent visitors with sightings every few days

July

Oh July! sigh! July brought sun and hot days spent at the lake. My close friend and the kids friends were at the lake with us most of the summer and it was truly the most wonderful month of the year.

July brought sun and hot days spent at the lake. My close friend and the kids’ friends were at the lake with us most of the summer and it was truly the most wonderful month of the year. I wish I could post all the summer pictures since our summer is so short here and we truly treasure every minute of sun and heat. But this pretty much sums it up, the kids all together in the water playing and not fighting!

August

Once August hit it was time to wrap up summer and that meant bringing the trailor home from the lake and harvesting the garden. And what a harvest we did get this year. I also started school in August.

September

Fall set in in September and the leaves rained down on my walk to school one day. This became the setting for my walk to and from school for the next few months. The kids started Grade 1 and 3 as well.

October

Our annual pumpkin carving with our neighbors. We started this when the 2 oldest were the only ones carving pumpkins! No more kids allowed.

November

Snow hit us in late October and by the second week in November there was more snow than we had all year last year. My commute became slow and scary at times. Im sure it snowed every day in November! We also got a cat in November if you can believe it!

December

I don’t have one special moment to capture December with. Between their christmas concerts, piano recitals, hockey and dance I couldn’t pick just one. My mother in law also broke her hip this month so Christmas was a little weird. I’ll just post an inspiration for the year to come in hopes of better things for 2013.

Quite the year! I love that picture with your son and the fact that you embraced it and gave it out. And the tornado shot is cool (though scary, I’m sure). Thanks for linking up!
